Extract and Process Your Data
- In order to process your data, you will need to extract / export it from your
current database or spreadsheet package. Any text-delimited format is allowed
(ie. Tab, Comma, Semicolon, and Space delimited). See
examples on how to export your data.
- Now that you've saved your exported file (eg. MailDataIn.tsv), you will need to
run the IQ software that you chose to use and open the file from within that software.
- Select all the appropriate options and advanced options, and click the Process button.
- Depending on the software, several output file(s) will be created, and will include the processed
MailDataOut (in the same text-delimited format), reports (in text and html), and any other optional
files you may have selected to create.
- The MailDataOut file will contain all the input fields as well as extra fields, which contain barcoding,
sort plan, and enhanced address information. This information is ready to be imported back into
your database or spreadsheet package and/or integrated with your favourite mail-merge software.
