Discounted bulk mail rates start with clean, matched addresses

Australia Post offers lower postage for barcoded bulk services such as PreSort Letters and Charity Mail. To barcode in-house, you need AMAS-approved software that can match each address to the Postal Address File and assign its Delivery Point Identifier.

IQ Easy Post does that work for you, online. It reformats addresses to the Australia Post presentation standard, appends barcode data where an address is valid, and produces the sorting and lodgement information you need, so you can keep your existing mail merge and printing workflow.

Fewer returned items

Spelling, layout and field errors are corrected against Australia Post's official address data.

Barcodes you can trust

Each matched address gets its DPID and the data for its 4-state barcode.

Sorted for lodgement

PreSort options, Barcode Sort Plan details and reports are produced in the same run.

Nothing to maintain

No desktop software to install or update. Sign in when you have a mailout to prepare.

Certified under Australia Post's AMAS program

AMAS, the Address Matching Approval System, is the certification program Australia Post runs to make sure software used to prepare bulk mail meets strict address accuracy and data quality standards. Intech's IQ Easy Post is AMAS-certified.

Postal Address File (PAF)

Addresses are checked against Australia Post's official database, then corrected and standardised to its address presentation standard.

Delivery Point Identifier (DPID)

Each matched address is given its unique 8-digit DPID, which generates the barcode used for automated sorting.

Bulk mail discounts

AMAS-approved software is required to qualify for discounted rates on services such as PreSort Letters and Charity Mail.

Ongoing compliance

Providers are recertified whenever Australia Post updates PAF data or matching rules, so your results stay current.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. IQ Easy Post runs in your browser, so there's no desktop software to install or keep up to date.

How much does IQ Easy Post cost?

Intech provides a range of value plans to fit your mail volumes and budget. Once registered, you'll be able to see the pricing plan options, starting from only $70 plus GST for 2,000 addresses.

How do I register?

Create an account at myintech.intechsolutions.com.au/register. Once you're logged in you can test the service, buy a licence and process your data straight away.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. You can process up to 200 records at no cost and review the output before purchasing a licence.

What file formats can I upload?

Delimited text files. TAB-delimited is recommended; comma and semicolon are also supported. If your list is in Excel or a CRM, export it to one of these formats first, with field names in the first row.

How do batch limits work?

Each licence sets a batch size and a validity period. For example, a 2,000-record licence valid for 3 days lets you run batches of up to 2,000 addresses each day for those 3 days.

Can I re-run a batch?

Yes. During the validity period you can re-run batches as long as you stay within the record limit, so you can correct your input data or change the batch settings and run it again.

What does the IQ_FLAGSTRING tell me?

It shows how each address was handled: 0 means the address was correct, 4 means it was amended, and X means it could not be matched. Review any X records before printing.

What is a DPID?

A Delivery Point Identifier is a unique 8-digit number assigned to a matched address. It's used to generate the Australia Post barcode for that delivery point.

Will this get me bulk mail discounts?

AMAS-approved software is required to barcode mail in-house for discounted services such as PreSort Letters and Charity Mail, and IQ Easy Post is AMAS-certified. Eligibility also depends on meeting Australia Post's service and lodgement requirements.
